Welcome to the web page for Dr. Michelle Kalehzan's practice. Dr. Kalehzan is a licensed psychologist with approximately 18 years of professional experience in providing clinical services to patients and their families in the Silicon Valley region of the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to her clinical work which has specialized in treating adult and adolescent patients struggling with diverse mood and anxiety disorders, Dr. Kalehzan has also been actively engaged in clinical research at Stanford University in the Department of Psychology and the Department of Psychiatry at Stanford University Medical Center since 1987. Various professional publications for which Dr. Kalehzan served as an author or co-author are cited on subsequent pages of this web site.

Dr. Kalehzan utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach combined with interpersonal therapy techniques in helping her patients achieve their goals. She is highly experienced in working with patients with symptoms of depression as well as bipolar disorder, and she is additionally experienced in treating patients with panic and other anxiety disorders, including Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. Dr. Kalehzan is very knowledgeable and experienced in working with patients from Middle Eastern, Asian, European, and Latin cultures. A novel feature of Dr. Kalehzan's practice is that she treats many immigrant and bicultural individuals, couples, and families.
